Williamsburg School of Needlework

Does anyone have any experience or comments about the Williamsburg School of Needlework? I think it would be decadent to go to a school to fine tune my skills. But before making the investment I wanted to get any input any of you may have.

Thank you,

Hi,

I was in Williamsburg recently and tried to get some info from the women of Williamsburg School of Needlework. After many attempts (not answering their phone) I went in person. Their answers were very vague, and if I wanted to know more I should take their classes. I did not leave with a warm and fuzzy feeling. I too would love to take a class but I need more answers first. I will try again.

Personally, I like what they're trying to do. However, reports from folks who have gone - especially anyone who already has some experience stitching - have not been too positive, especially when it comes to cost in relation to what you get, instruction and insight-wise. Maybe they just need time to iron out the wrinkles and get the school going strong. Like I said, I think it's a great idea. But for the customer who is paying for that type of learning experience at that price, I really think it should be a stellar and a positive experience all around. Hopefully, they'll get the kinks worked out. I'd love to hear from others who have gone - maybe other stitchers have a different perspective.

Sadly, I have heard the same thing about the school. I do appreciate everyone honesty though.

I will save my pennies and might consider the Koala Conventions when they come to the US.

Thank you everyone,

I didn't know they had a school! How exciting! I think I'll wait to save my pennies but something to keep my eye on. I'm in NC so I'm not that far away!
