linen for pennies

I'd like to offer a tip for acquiring a good amount of linen yardage for next to nothing. A lot of times kids will donate parents 'old' tablecloths to Good Will or other source. I picked up a beautiful white (like new) linen, large tablecloth for a dollar! I've been able to make scads of projects from that one item! Also, napkins, place mats, etc make wonderful stitching fabric. The hardest part is cutting into it....
