simple patterns for children

Do you have any simple patterns for the children. They do know how to do a running stitch a backstitch and whip. But I'm drawing a blank on what simple drawings they could do. I was thinking some cherries or chick? Is there a blog or page you can suggest?

Hi, new - You might try searching through flickr for vintage embroidery transfers. I did a search on flickr and came up with this: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=vintage ... 0transfers. There's also a group called Vintage Embroidery Transfers:

I hope that helps a little bit!

Hello.

I didn't know if you were looking for just transfers or for something already pre-stamped and ready for the children to embroider . My granddaughter (6 years old) did three small embroidery works from
Jack Dempsey Needlearts. Here is the website information.

http://www.jdneedleart.com

They have several very small counted cross stitch projects for children which will lend themselves to any hand embroidered stitches the children wish to use. It doesn't have to be counted cross stitch.

Some of the projects can be found in needlework shops if you don't wish to order online. Believe it or not, we found ours in London, Kentucky at a craft store near the Dogpatch Trading Post!
