Backing embroidery on clothing, what to use.

Good morning, I am thrilled to have found this web site! I am planning on embroidering the Hearts O' Flowers on shirts for my daughters. I'm afraid the backing will be itchy on them. Any suggestions for what to cover the stictching with?

If the fabric is not transparent, you could use a fusible interfacing. I love a stretchy, nylon one that is very light weight. Depends on what the shirt is made of. Otherwise, if you are embroidering with cotton, I would make the back as neat as possible and not cover it. AnneG
