Little Floral Thing

I wanted to try my hand at long-and-short stitch, and this was my first effort, completed last January and finally framed today to send off for a handmade secret Santa exchange. (Yes, I am a wretched procrastinator!) I didn't study the stitch carefully enough before diving in, so my work is rather rigid, but for a first try, I'm fairly satisfied.

Pretty! I think it's really striking - the colors are great and the stitching looks really nice. I love those background leaves, too - the contrast between the lighter and darker greens. I think it's great! Fun, lively, and lucky person who's getting it!

Love the center of the purple flowers. Orange ones too!
