Monogram for Hand Embroidery: Celtic Z

At long last, the end of this monogram alphabet! I don't know if there's anyone out there who will ever embroider this particular "Z" onto anything, but still, there's a great sense in satisfaction about completing this alphabet! So, here it is, the last monogram...

I hope you like the monogram alphabets I've been posting - if you do, let me know, because I do have others that I still want to add to this online collection of monogram patterns. But sometimes I worry that I bore you to death with these repeated letters popping up every now and then!

Well, without further ado then, here's the large Z:

And here's the small Z:

Monogram for Hand Embroidery: Celtic Z

You can find the rest of this alphabet, as well other monograms, on my Index of Monograms for Hand Embroidery. If you're looking for stitching suggestions for this particular alphabet, check out the Celtic A Monogram, where I went into a little detail on how you might stitch it.

Yippee! The END!

Yippee indeed! I changed my last initial to a Z when I married, so thanks for including it! I don't have immediate plans to do a monogram, but I was just looking at my floche a broder and thinking about how good it's supposed to be for that application...

Thank you Mary! I love the monograms and would like to see more if they're not too much effort to do. I'm stitching away on my first effort and it's turning out well, thanks to your great instructions.

I thank you a lot!
I've just embroidered The R and D - the smaller ones - I believe I can write a post tomorrow about it.

Oh, lovely! I really like how the Z looks in that font. My husband's name begins with Z, so he may have to get an embroidered present in the near future. Won't he be embarrassed!

I've enjoyed - and used - your monogram collections, and I for one would encourage you to post more of them. :-)

You never bore us with the monogram patterns. We would like to see more of them here on Needle n' Thread.

By the way, you have a monogram A at http://www.needlenthread.com/2007/06/embroidered-monogram-pattern-letter.html . It would be helpful if you list that in monogram index. Thanks.

Thanks so much, now to finish my quilt, not on the subject of the celtic alphabet but I was browsing your site and since a friend in Australia has a daughter who is just learning to embroidery I checked out your video tutorials, and they are fantastic, I sent your site on to my friend to help her out with teaching her daughter. Mary, there is a World called Monogramming. And there are people that inhabit this world. Monograms go hand-in-hand with Illuminated Manuscripts.
There is nothing, nothing, boring about any of it! And you are truly a dear to post these beautiful monograms for us "addicts".

I just found this, and I can absolutely use the "Z"! My 8 y.o. son Zack never gets crafty stuff from me because I can't find stuff "boy" enough, but this, I can adapt to dragons and such. Thanks so much!
