Monogram for Hand Embroidery: Celtic M

Amazon Books

This is a continuation of the Celtic “flavor” monogram alphabet I’ve been posting lately – today’s free hand embroidery pattern is for the letter M.

You can find stitching ideas on the post for the letter A of this alphabet, and you can also find more monograms for hand embroidery on the index page for the monograms available here on Needle ‘n Thread.

Here’s the smaller version of the M:

    1. Hi, Manuela – I think you’re talking about “shadow work”? Kind of a double back stitch, with herringbone stitch on the back of the work? I think it would look interesting in shadow work, but the difficulty will be the cross over. I think you’d just have to “break” your design in the right places, and it would work. Try it! I’d love to see the results!! ~MC
