Something to Dream About…

Amazon Books

Just popping in this morning to give you something to dream about while you’re sipping your coffee and waking up.

You know, just a little something to help you procrastinate on a Saturday morning!

The Crewel Work Company has announced their needlework retreat dates for next year. They look blissful, fabulous, dreamy – come see…

Crewel Work Company Needlework Retreats 2015

In 2015, The Crewel Work Company is offering three needlework retreats – one in the Scottish Highlands, one focusing on Arts & Crafts in the Lake District, and the Lady Anne’s Needlework Retreat in Northern England & Scotland.

They’ve put together a nice video promoting the retreats, so you get a good idea of what they’re all about:

E-mails subscribers will be able to view the video in today’s article on Needle ‘n Thread: Something to Dream About.

And you can read all the delicious details in the Lady Anne’s Needlework Retreat Brochure (Update,2018: brochure no longer available).

Now, dream away…and enjoy your weekend!

  3. It would be wonderful to be able to attend one of the retreats, but at today’s exchange rate the cost of any of the retreats, plus airfare, are quite a bit above my budget… And even the shortest would mean leaving my husband home alone for over a week, which will not work because of his Alzheimer’s…

    Someday….

  5. I am fortunate to live in Scotland, and I have been to Blair and Glamis castles. But I must say that the most fortunate part of living here and the textiles that are so very old, and that many of them are available to view (with a curator doing the handling) I cannot tell you how breathtaking it is to look at a priest’s robe made in the 13th century and have the curator interpret and explain all about it. The exchange rates are extraordinary, and retreats in royal estates exorbitant, but for anyone who is interested in embroideries, and is planning to be in Scotland anyway- you really want to schedule in a castle or museum during your visit. (No, I don’t work for “VisitScotland”!) 🙂 Have a wonderful Christmas.
