We have more fun embroidery content coming up on Needle ‘n Thread, including a book review from a pretty neat book that’s newly available, and some other bits and bobs.
I’m still working from home in the afternoons while engaged in Dad Care. My sister sits with my dad on weekday mornings so I can go to work for a few hours, and this arrangement is working out well. I’m able to get some studio work done, put out the occasional (figurative) fires, and keep our heads mostly above water. So that’s good!

I’m incredibly disappointed. I have been interested in this project for some time. But these kits sold out before I even knew they were available. Your email arrived today at exactly 10am PST, when the kits were actually released at 10AM CT – 2 hours prior to when even the email stating availabity was released! We on the west coast didn’t even stand a chance.
Hi, Suzanne – I’m sorry you missed the kits. We are taking a wait list for another small batch of them, although I’m still waiting to hear back from the manufacturer about the timing on the goldwork threads. If you drop me an email for the advanced notice list, you’ll receive an email when the kits in the next batch are available to ship, and before they are announced again on the website.
The timing of the blog post in the email is dependent on the automated feature of those kinds of things. I actually can’t control that. It’s done by “RSS feeds” that are built into blogs. This is why I announce the release time for the kits in the days before. In Monday’s blog post, I announced that the kits would be released at 10:00 AM Central on Wednesday, which is exactly when the listing went live.

This is one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen recently, I so wish I could afford to buy this kit. It seems to have sold out, so I’ll let that comfort me lol. I just wanted to tell you how beautiful it is. It is getting harder to find beautiful embroidery kits anymore. When I was younger it seems they were everywhere, no longer true. Plenty of Cross Stitch very little beautiful Embroidery or Crewel. Such is life. I’ll be glad to see some WIP and finished projects of this!
