My friends, I am sorry to do this to you, because normally, I’d prepare you in advance for a release time and date on a new kit… but the fact is, we only have 31 kits for Embellished Hearts!
There aren’t enough to justify a big launch like we normally do.
So it really is just a matter of first come, first served on these 31 kits. We will, of course, do our best to restock them as quickly as possible if there is interest.
I know that some of you will be disappointed in missing the kits, and I am very sorry for that. When I ordered the threads to prepare the kits for an in-person workshop, we were working within a very small window of time, and I could only order a limited amount.

You can read the description of the Embellished Hearts kits here on the product listing.
Besides the four foundation hearts (two red, two pink), there are six full skeins of Heathway merino embroidery wool in the kit. This wool is imported from the UK. It’s a luxurious, soft, beautiful wool, and a real pleasure to stitch with. You will have plenty of wool to embellish the hearts that are in the kit, likely with a good amount of most colors left over. When you’re finished with your hearts, feel free to try them on fabric! You’ll be delighted with these threads!
You’ll also find a spool of 1/4″ guide tape (optional to use it – up to you), needle, and instructions.
The felted hearts are not a stitch-along, so instructions are included. The instructions are meant to be a springboard from which you can adapt, improvise, and expand the embellishments on the hearts. You can also apply the concepts to other similar objects.
These are a fun project, small, compact, and portable – perfect for slow stitching and exploration.
I’ll let you know when we can expect to restock these kits. If you are interested in them, you’re welcome to drop me an email so we can send out advanced notice once the kits are back in stock. Unfortunately, they won’t be in stock for this Valentine’s Day! But hearts are for more than just one day out of the year, after all.
In the Studio & Surviving
We’re working in the studio as much as possible these days, trying to make up for our various little mishaps and detours. Anna is recovered. I’m still hobbling on the knee, but it is improving. Thanks for your notes of encouragement!
On Friday, I’d like to talk about some tools that I’ve started using this winter… assuming that on Friday, we won’t be frozen to the ground out in here in Kansas.
If you’re gearing up for the winter blast everyone is talking about, I hope you can stay warm and get in some quality stitching time!
