Embroidery Pattern: Grape Vine

Amazon Books

Are you look for an embroidery pattern for household items, such as kitchen towels, guest towels, linens, drapes, and whatnot? Here’s a beautiful hand embroidery pattern of a grapevine, which would look terrific as an edging on a variety of hand embroidered goods. Now’s the time to start that special Christmas gift – embroider the edge of some pre-made cotton kitchen towels for a handmade touch.

The pattern can be scaled up or down on your computer or on a photocopier. If you want a longer border, just repeat the pattern or parts of it. This would look great in white-on-white or in color. You can fill the design, or just stitch oulines. Any way you choose to do it, I think you’ll be pleased with the results. Click on the pattern below for a larger image, then right click on the larger image to save it to your computer.

Enjoy!

  1. Thank you for this motif! I plan on adapting it for using for a challah cover (challahs are the traditional braided breads for the Jewish Shabbas) for my brother- and sister-in-law.

  2. Hi,
I used this design for my saree, It was very nice but took too much of my time for the entire saree border. so, I modified it slightly by reducing the no of leafs and grapes and finished it. I will share it with you latter.

  3. My mother used this design to embroider a table cloth and matching napkins for my daughters bat mitzvah last month. The gift is very special since my mother was 76 when she learned how to embroidered and used a simple outline stitch to work the design. A week after my daughters bat mitzvah my mother passed away. Thank You for sharing this design you played a part in making a very treasured gift for my daughter.

    1. Hi, Linda – Well, it’s not available as an iron-on, just as a free download that you can print on your own home printer. But if you want to iron it on, I recommend Sublime Stitching’s Extra-Fine iron-on pen. It’s available here: http://sublimestitching.com/collections/tools/products/transfer-pen The pen doesn’t wash out, so you do have to make sure that you cover all your lines. But it’s the best iron-on pen on the market. It produces clean, fine lines when compared to other iron-on pens. The blue is my standard go-to color, but it’s available in other colors as well.

  5. Thank you for sharing this lovely pattern. I am making a talith for my granddaughter and this will make a beautiful atarah.
