If you want to explore the wide world of embroidery and develop your own library fo stitches, you should check out Sharon Boggon’s online class “Developing a Personal Library of Stitches.” The prices are super-duper reasonable (six classes for $60 – only $10 / class!) and from what I’ve heard from those who have signed up, it’s worth every penny and then some. If you want details on what the classes cover, check out Sharon’s site, Pintangle. You can find a detailed explanation at the bottom of the post. If you’re a beginning embroiderer and you really want to improve and expand, these classes look ideal. If you’re not a beginner, I think you’d still get a lot of them. If you look at embroidery as a hobby or craft, this is a great investment that will give you a lifetime of pleasure. Check them out!

I took this class and have the highest praise for it. Sharon is an unbelievably thorough and dedicated teacher, which shows in her 200-page-plus text for this course and in her quick, enthusiastic feedback. You also get to enter a community of stitchers, if you want to, because there is an online forum (message board) just for the students to communicate with Sharon and with one another. I loved every bit of it.
