Last Chance for Needlework Stash Contest!!

Amazon Books

Just a quick note to remind readers to leave a comment on my needlework stash contest post, before midnight tonight! I’ll draw names tomorrow. The deal is: leave a comment with a good needlework tip, and I’ll add your name to the drawing. I’ll announce the winner tomorrow. After I announce the winner, it’s up to the winner to contact me with a snail mail address, so I can send you a jolly little package of great stuff!

  1. I usually stretch my work on a square frame. When I stop work for the day I always cover my embroidery with a cloth. Sometimes I can get back to work the next day, but often a couple of days elapse before I have time to sit down to my embroidery frame again. Covering my work protects it from dust between stitching sessions.

If I am working with a hoop I always remove the hoop at the end of the day to prevent marking the fabric.

  2. My tip is related to the previous tip. when working with hoop if you want prevent marking the fabric insert tissue paper between the fabric and the hook while inserting the hoop this would prevent the marking of the fabric if you are a embriodery over a long period of time
