Wow. That was a cold weekend. I hope all who were affected by the winter storm this weekend came through it unscathed.
It’s still a bit chilly here – and we’re in recovery mode again, cleaning up sidewalks and whatnot. I’m pretty sure we will eventually have a “normal” week in 2026, but I’m guessing this isn’t going to be It.
Today, just a public service announcement. A while back, I mentioned the Virtual Lecture Series that the EGA (Embroiderers’ Guild of America) hosts online every month. I’d like to mention it again…
For those who are interested, this April, I’m participating in the very same Virtual Lecture series. I’m be chatting with the folks at the EGA, answering questions from those who have registered for the lecture. It’s a Question & Answer event, rather than a typical lecture on a topic. Basically, the way it works is this: you register for the event, and then, before it takes place, you’ll receive an email that will allow you to submit questions. And we will discuss the questions that come in.
I’m sure it will be spontaneous and fun!
If you’d like to read more about the lecture – which takes place April 18 – you’ll find more information here, where you can also register. The whole thing is done online via zoom. It’s very easy to access, even if you’re not a Techy Person.

EGA Membership
Did you know you can become a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America, without having a local guild chapter nearby? I’m a “Member at Large” because I don’t have a nearby chapter. As a M-A-L, I still have most of the advantages of being a member, including the ability to sign up for learning opportunities (online and in person), access to their library, access to online projects, and a subscription to their magazine. You can read about the different memberships on the EGA website, if this is something that interests you. I’ve always found it worthwhile to be a member.
