Oh my word! It’s hard to believe that next week is Thanksgiving!
This year, we’re not really engaging in holiday hoopla and whatnot here at the studio (or even on the website).
Now, don’t worry! We’ll be finishing up Twinkle, Twinkle as we move into December (the stitch-along ends on December 12), and I’ll be publishing some articles on the website, but …
…come December 3rd, we will be finished shipping for the rest of the year!
I know. Shocking, isn’t it?
It seems odd, coming from a small-small business that relies very much on retail sales this time of year.
But we have to take a break.
It sounds weird, I know. After all, we’re “just” embroiderers. How hard can Studio Life be?! But sometimes when you’re working in the creative world, you have to do something to keep that creative spark sparking.
And so we’re going to do something wild and crazy (for us) in December. I will tell you more about that when the time comes.
But never fear, I’ll still have some great content coming your way up until Christmas. We have Twinkle, Twinkle to finish, and I’ve got a few other goodies for you, too.
We just won’t be working in the studio from December 3rd until January 5th, and from December 5th through December 18th, I will have very limited access to email.

Embroidery Tools & Equipment
We have all kinds of embroidery equipment to help make your stitching more enjoyable and more efficient!
These vintage Bohin needle sets are fabulous. You get a wide assortment of high quality Bohin needles (40 needles in all), all tucked into a lovely vintage Christmas folder (and there’s a non-Christmas one, too).
We have a very limited number of hand-crafted bisque needle-minders – Christmas ones, and non-seasonal – available.
If you are yearning for Dovo scissors, with the sale price, these are about the least expensive you’ll find them in the States these days. We have a limited number still in stock of various varieties, all of which are perfect for hand embroidery.
We have thread drops for organizing your threads; we have a few of these darling little sewing themed tins left; and we have a very limited number of our “Embroidery Essentials” kits that include a collection of favorite high-quality tools ideal for the beginner (and beyond).
Right now, we have a small selection of lovely embroidery books imported from Italy available for you. These books by Elisabetta Sforza and by Guiliana Buonpadre are not available through the big book discount outlets! They are priced pre-tariff, so get them while we’ve got ’em!
As we close the year out, we still have some embroidery supplies, but admittedly, not a lot.
We have a few options of pre-finished, gorgeous Italian linen blanks (hemstitched) – just a couple runners and a couple tea cloth squares left. Again, these are pre-tariff prices, and they’re on sale, so you can’t beat that!
Floche! We have a selection of curated color collections of cotton floche available still. Again, not a while lot, but some – including the whole set of 93 colors. At 10% off, you can’t beat the price – and again, these are pre-tariff prices, so you won’t see them this low after this year.
And finally, we have embroidery kits in stock!

For many of the kits that are in stock, there are only a few available.
Some of the kits are remaining stitch-along kits from past stitch-alongs, so if you’re keen to work those (following along with the instructions on the website), you might pick them up now. Most of them will not be available in the same format in the future. The Christmas Mitten is a favorite!
We also have a few Jessica Long kits left, perfect for gift-giving. They include the hoop, and the designs are fun, accessible, colorful, contemporary. I like these kits just for the fun of doing them. They don’t take a lot of effort, and the results are quite pleasing!
Our Holly & Evergreen complete kit is still in stock. This is a great one for quiet evenings during winter!
Leafy Tree, Wildflowers in Wool, Mini Sampler Stockings – all of these are available in limited quantities.

The 10% off sale ends this Friday, November 21st, at midnight CST. It includes only the goods we have in stock right now.
It is pretty rare that I run a sale like this, because I strive to keep our prices fair and affordable – we don’t do super-high mark-ups on our retail prices so that we can put things on sale later, just to make you think you’re getting a good deal. (We’re not Hobby Lobby or JoAnn’s! LOL!)
Many of the goods we have in stock are priced pre-tariff prices – we didn’t increase our prices with the tariffs this year. So you’re getting pre-tariff prices on most everything that’s imported.
We’re planning starting next year with a clean slate in some regards, since we’ll be bringing in some new embroidery goods (linen, threads, hoops, and so forth), and launching a few more kits. You’ll be helping us regain some shelf space by shopping the sale! Thank you!
