Happy Easter, my friends!
Here in Kansas, it’s a glorious day! Chilly, rainy, stormy. But a glorious day, nonetheless!
Here’s a little Easter eye-spy and puzzle for you, in a different format this time. We went vertical!

If you click on the image above, it will take you to a much larger version of the photo, so you can zoom in and look for things.
Here’s a list of what you can find:
Three mice, six bees, three nests and their eggs,
A crab that’s red, with lots of legs.
Ladybugs? Find six! Butterflies? Ten!
One duck, six chicks, but not one single hen.
Eight eggs out of felt, three hoops that are round,
A turtle, a frog, two hearts on the ground.
Nine yummy gumdrops, sparkly and sweet,
Sixteen bobbins of thread, all tidy and neat.
Find two keys and a lock; scissors – find seven!
Find the marbles I lost (19), and pins – all eleven!
Four carrots of twine and one on a tin,
And bunnies – so many! – nineteen for the win!
Jigsaw Puzzle
You can also find a jigsaw puzzle of this image here, where you can work it as a jigsaw puzzle online, changing the number of pieces and configuring the jigsaw to your liking.
Happy Easter!
In the Christian tradition, Easter is the greatest feast of the year, celebrating the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
In my family, we celebrate by going to the Easter Vigil, which is the liturgy that takes place the night before Easter Sunday. At our church, it ends in the wee hours of the morning (around 1:00 AM), after which we had a small party of a sort at my sister’s house.
On Easter Sunday, we all get together for a good part of the day, have a nice dinner of lamb and ham and all the trimmings, desserts and whatnot. My big contribution is a batch of mini pavlovas, an almond-coconut cake, and a sumptuous amount of fresh berries. Yum!
I hope you enjoy the puzzle and I hope you have a lovely day!

The studio is closed through Easter Monday, but we’ll be back at it this Tuesday. See you then!
Happy Easter! Question… The 5 vertical and horizontal places on the wall box… With the purple flowers, the kaleidoscope, looking thing, the blue bird, etc. Are these projects? That bluebird and kaleidoscope look really neat. So does everything else by the way! That holy card is stunning
Our Easter vigil started at eight and ended at 11. It was glorious! I wish I could get a picture in this post, but our Mary statue at the top of our altar,is out for refurbishment and in its place we put a statue of the Risen Christ with a banner just like in your holy card.
Hi, Sandra – Yes, those were all projects here on the website! They’re printed card stock of those projects, that I used as backgrounds for some product packaging we were testing. We cut the card stock prints down to fit the cubbies. The bird project you mentioned is called “Secret Garden Hummingbirds” – I take you step-by-step through the whole development of that project in this series of articles: https://www.needlenthread.com/2014/01/secret-garden-hummingbirds-project-index.html
You can find the kaleidoscope designs that I’ve developed here on the website all listed in this series of articles: https://www.needlenthread.com/2018/02/embroidered-kaleidoscopes-an-index-of-step-by-step-projects.html And that includes the Tulip Festival kaleidoscope in the cubby.
I love going to the Easter Vigil. It really is the most glorious liturgy of the year.
Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy Easter. The menu sounds delicious and how good to be with your family and friends. Thanks you so much for the puzzle! Never knew these things were available online, so that’s a treat!
Thanks Mary for the eye spy. Lots of fun. Enjoy your Easter
I couldn’t stop chuckling every time I saw those peep chicks squished into the cubby! Awesome!
Happy Easter!
LOL! At first, the peeps seemed like a great idea! But, oh, the sugar everywhere! They emit a load of yellow sugar when they’re crammed into tight spaces. And then they left marshmallow residue on the sides of the cubby. Soooo inconsiderate of them. 🙂
Happy Easter! Thank you so much for the fun post. I really enjoyed the jigsaw puzzle (set for 300 pieces) and I look forward to the next one.
