The Week’s Work might not be totally accurate. Everything we’re working on this week will definitely draw out into subsequent weeks!
But each one of them has a relatively short life span, thank goodness. I like making progress on things and crossing off the list!

We haven’t talked about this type of project above in a Long Time.
The floral voided monogram in the photo above (which eventually ended up finished as a needle book, because I was weary of having unfinished samples lying about!) was part of a whole slew of samples I stitched, starting back as far as 2016. That’s almost ten years!
But of all the small monogram projects I’ve worked over time, these get a lot of attention. Visitors are constantly drawn to the samples, and stats on different photos around the socials are pretty high. I also still get inquiries about them.
My intention at the time was to publish a downloadable design book, so that you could trace the design and stitch your own voided monogram. But every time I worked on it, I knew that the voided monograms would require more than just designs to allow folks (especially beginners) to enjoy stitching them and creating their own voided letters.
And so the PDF expanded into two design sets, progress photos and instructions for stitching similar voided monograms, stitch instructions, and examples of variations. In short, it has become a full-fledged design and instructional book.
The finishing touches are going into the PDF this week, which will be followed by editing and proofing. Getting close! Woohoo!

Then there’s this. It’s our next stitch snippet stitch-along.
I’ve only started and picked it out ten dozen hundred million times.
But I have finally pinpointed the Certain Absolute Problem I’m having. It is Certainly, Absolutely, a problem of color. And stitch choice. And design layout.
For the Certain, Absolute, and Final time, I’m starting this project Certainly and Absolutely Over.
I will enjoy it better when I make the changes.
Certainly. Absolutely.

Finally, we are working on this cloth-of-gold letter appliqué project.
I plan to have all the letters ready to appliqué by the end of the week. We will appliqué – if all goes as planned – next week.
I still have a small design to develop for this particular project, that will go in the middle of the altar cover we are making. It will also be appliqué of the same gold cloth, but it is a very simple design, so it should not take too much effort. (Famous Last Words.)
So, that’s what’s going on in the studio this week. We are keeping busy! Of course, I will update you on all these projects as we tie them up.
And we will get our next Stitch Snippet underway once I finish it for the final time! It’ll be a nice summer project!
