Well, well, well – I’m skipping town!
And Anna is, too.
As I mentioned before Thanksgiving, we will not be shipping from Needle ‘n Thread after this Wednesday, December 3rd, at noon. Any orders received after that time will not ship until January.

If you’re wondering where we’ll be, here’s a wee hint about one of our destinations, which also works out well as a fun embroidery resource for those interested in traditional folk costumes.
Dad is taken care of, the house is decorated for Christmas, the studio is tidied and ready for work upon our return, all the loose ends are tied up – it’s time to head out to the great, wide world!
I’ve researched a few places where we can explore embroidery, folk costume, textiles, and some ecclesiastical embroidery. You know I’ll be keeping an eye out for All Things needle and thread! And if I find anything pertinent, I’ll certainly share. We hope to come back brimming with inspiration for 2026!

And so farewell!
I’ll “see you” off and on during the month with some pre-written, scheduled articles, and in January, we’ll kick off the year with New and Exciting Things!
I hope you have a wonderful December!

I’m so excited for you Mary and Anna! Have a wonderful time! I’m looking forward to hearing about your trip when you return.
Thanks, Mary! We’re excited about it, too!
Enjoy – you will have a great time! Don’t forget to visit the Christmas Markets.
Wishing you and Anna a fun and safe journey!
Merry Christmas!!!
We definitely will! We’ll be in Czechia first, followed by Bavaria – with a short stint in Salzburg, too.
Bon Voyage! I hope you and Anna have a wonderful trip! Can’t wait to hear what you will have discovered!
We are really looking forward to it!
Wishing you a safe journey!
Thank you!
Brataslava … please?
It’s really Czechia, as the words on the apron imply! 🙂 Plus a little time in Bavaria.
Safe travels and have a ball!!! You’ll be missed, and we’ll be right here when you get back.
Thank you for all you do for our community of stitchers.
Martha
The AI synopsis that I got of your message made it sound like you’re closing down forever. Glad that’s not true. I hate AI.
I think you can turn off AI, if it’s a synopsis in your email or on your browser. I have it off in my settings, because it’s never wholly accurate!
Have a lot of Fun on your Stitchn’ Vacation!
See you when you get back! Bring back good pictures!
Thanks, Tina! Probably no stitching involved, I’m afraid – but that’s ok! We get in plenty throughout the year!!
Oh, man!…the title scared me!
Thank goodness you’ll be back.
Oh, we’ll be back! (Well, God willing, and all – some things, we can’t control!) Just a little break for a bit!
Travel Mercies for a safe trip. Enjoy and share your wonderful journey when ya’ll return! Merry Christmas!
Well that sounds like a grand adventure! If you get to Prague, it is magical and the gothic cathedrals are absolutely spectacular. They would definitely qualify under the “ecclesiastical” category. Hope you and Anna have a safe and very fabulous journey!
Sounds to me like this is tax deductible trip. 🙂
Oh, have a fab, safe time both of you! And take plenty of woolly jumpers! Miss you!
Have a great time!
