Several times a year, I sit down with my trusty sidekick Anna, and we work on Lists.
I’m a firm believer in making lists, as long as they’re usable. I don’t like spending time making lists, only to find that they are pointless, out of date, or out of (realistic) touch with what we realistically need to be doing.
But I do like making lists that can help influence our next activities and that can shape where we’re going and how we’re going to get there.
To this end… I have a question for you.

Ever since its conception, Needle ‘n Thread has been an information and instructional website centered around All Things Embroidery.
With the proliferation of how-to videos and tutorials available these days, it’s weird to think that a mere 19 years ago, Needle ‘n Thread was the first website to offer a collection of video tutorials for hand embroidery stitches – even before the explosion of YouTube. Yes, some of my videos are almost “vintage.”
In the world of technology, Needle ‘n Thread is practically ancient, I suppose.
*Sigh*
Where does that put me, I wonder?
Planning Future Tutorials
Right now, we’re planning our next phase of instructional content for the website. We have a nice little list of instructional topics and short tutorials developing.
But the website isn’t just about the tutorials I want to do. In fact, it’s more about what you want or need. To that end, I’d like your feedback on tutorials that you’d be interested in.
By tutorials, I don’t necessarily mean video only. Tutorials can be video, sure, but they can also be step-by-step photos and explanations of needlework-related processes that you might find interesting or particularly challenging.
They might be stitch related. They might be organizational related, finishing related. They might be trouble-shooting a problem that you run into repeatedly. They might be tool-related. There are so many aspects of needlework – all are game, if it’s instructional content.
Is there something specific you’d like to learn that I can convey in a tutorial format of some sort, to help you with your embroidery? Or is there something specific that you think other folks would enjoy learning?
Your feedback will help shape future content here on the website.
If you’ve got an idea, drop me a line using the contact form here on the website. Or if you’re subscribed to my newsletter and this arrived in your inbox, just hit “reply” and send me your suggestion for a needlework tutorial or two that you’d find helpful. You can also leave a comment on this article on the website if you like.
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
