I would love to win the gold work book giveaway! I am a beginner in gold work. I took one class at a national seminar, but got stuck, and have been unable to complete my piece! So hopefully the book would help!

  1. Hi Mary – Thanks for letting me know that it’s available at Book Depository. Goldwork embroidery has long been something I’ve been interested in (it’s so beautiful just to look at, so I can only imagine how wonderful it must feel to create beautiful pieces with it) and am keen to try, and this book, being for beginners mainly, is something I will be buying very shortly (unless my own library has it or can order it for me, which I kinda doubt, but worth a try).

Thanks for sharing this, and for reminding me once again how I’ve got to get a copy of it sooner rather than later.

  2. G’day Mary,
And congratulations Kathy, lucky lady. I’m sure you’ll find this book a special companion, stitching as well as to browse while having a cuppa. Thanks Mary for this beaut giveaway and the look through it.
    Cheers, Kath

  3. Congratulations to Kathy in McKinney, Texas on her win!

i was fortunate enough to find this book in my local library and can’t wait to get my hands on it. i’ve plans to make a wedding album cover and would love to incorporate some goldwork in the design. hopefully there will be something in this book to inspire a design.

  4. Well, it sounds like the right person won. Congratulations Kathy. It would be terrible to start a peice of goldwork and be unable to finish it. Just the cost alone. I am so glad you won.

  5. Congratulations, Kathy! Now you’ll *have* to finish that goldwork piece you started! The book will surely give you a big incentive to go forward.

This is such a pretty looking book, I think I shall have to buy it just to feast my eyes on the beautiful photographs. To heck with actually doing the goldwork…..

  8. Congratulations, Kathy! I hope the book helps muchly.
