Happy Thanksgiving!

Amazon Books

Here in the States, it’s Thanksgiving Day – and a great day it is, too, unless you happen to be a turkey.

No matter where you live, even if you’re not officially celebrating Thanksgiving Day, I think we can all understand the universal idea of Gratitude and taking time to be thankful for the blessings we have. I hope that your life is filled with abundant blessings to be thankful for!

Without a doubt, you are all a huge blessing in my life and I am especially grateful that you are a part of this online needle-and-thread-loving community! Thank you so much for your ongoing enthusiasm, inspiration, participation, and support over the years as we keep a little fire burning for all things hand-embroidery!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ll give you three guesses what I’m doing this morning, before heading out to my sister’s house to frolic and play. That’s right! I’m working on wreaths. I can’t get away from them! (And that’s not really a bad thing, is it?)

For Thanksgiving, I usually head to my sister’s house a bit before noon, where we all gather to hang out, make dinner, and enjoy a pretty casual day. After dinner, we linger a bit over dessert, and then we might play games for a bit if the mood strikes.

Speaking of playing, for a few years here on the website, I had begun a holiday tradition of publishing an “I-Spy” game for you. We didn’t do it last Thanksgiving because we were in such a jolly mess, with moving the studio.

If you’re new to Needle ‘n Thread, or if you just want to revisit the old puzzles, here are some links to the games and puzzles from earlier years:

I plan to resume the I-Spy puzzle for Christmas this year – we’re already working on a theme and gathering the goods!

Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you enjoy the weekend and that you get to spend some quality time with your needle and thread!

See you next week, when we launch into the last Stitch Snippet for the year – one of the Twelve Wreaths from this collection.

  4. I love that you gave the Turkey a pardon so he could work on that embroidered wreath project. May you have many blessings on this Thanksgiving and all the days to come.
